Caudalie Beauty Elixir...

Hello everyone, I apologise for the lack of post for the last couple of weeks, I have started a new job and had my birthday so I've been a busy bee! Never fear however, I have lots of post ready and waiting so keep an eye out!

So today I thought I'd talk about the much hyped Caudalie Beauty Elixir!

Now, I got this little bottle in my Selfridges Beauty box (mentioned here) and I was super excited to try it as it has been so hyped up all of the beauty blogosphere! It has been a little bit of a disappointment to tell you the truth.

Now, don't get me wrong the smell is lovely and it feels really refreshing on the skin when freshly sprayed. It will most definitely be coming on my holidays with me because its a lovely refreshing spray. I just haven't noticed a massive difference in my skin.

Feel unique says... "Inspired by the "elixir of youth" used by Queen Isabelle of Hungary, Caudalie Beauty Elixir smoothes features, tightens pores, and gives the complexion a burst of radiance. An excellent base for make-up, this water awakens the skin in the morning and livens it up before a night out."
I really don't think it has tightened my pores (something that I really would have loved it to do!) or smooth my skin. It does act a a bit of a glow giver on top of make up ensuring you don't look too cakey through over powdering.

Now, at £10.35 for 30ml, I think it is overpriced considering it has not produced great effects!

I do like using it as I love the smell but I don't think I'll be repurchasing! I had such high hopes, it actually upsets me somewhat that its not blown me away!

Are you one of the people that love it? Please tell me in the comments!

Bare Minerals Review

Hi everyone!
I haven't done a review in a while and so thought I would do so today!

I bought this set a while ago and have been using it on and off because I just can't decide if I like it or not!
In the set you get your colour mineral foundation, a warmth powder, the mineral veil, 'prime time' primer and three brushes. Two sizes of fluffy brushes and a concealer brush. You need these brushes, as they are specifically designed to hold the mineral powder and transfer all the product to you face. Buying all of these products together in this set is the cheapest way to do it and its costs around £50.

The products give a light and very natural coverage. If you are having a very good skin day then these are perfect for just evening out your skin tone and creating a nice base for the rest of your make up.

You are meant to be able to pick up some of the product on the concealer brush to create a fuller coverage in places you need it but I just don't find it does enough, particularly not to coverage blemishes.

The primer is OK, it has a nice consistency and goes onto the skin smoothly but I don't find it makes a lot of difference. I love my Porefessional primer by Benefit and this just isn't as nice.

My favourite way to use the foundation is over my liquid foundation as more of a setting powder, it just finishes the face nicely and make the liquid foundation stay on all day. The mineral veil is a nice translucent powder, the very finely milled powder has a really silky texture on the skin. I don't notice a massive difference with the warmth but you can't win 'em all!

I do like this set, and it is fairly good value for money considering all the products that are included but I probably wont repurchase any of the products again, they just aren't my favourites!

Do you use Bare Minerals? I've heard such good things about it and yet I'm not blown away! Let me know what you think in the comments!
